DIY Fabric Hair Ties

These are the hair ties that do not leave marks in your hair or pull it and give you headaches.
I saw this on Pinterest and figured out how to do it.
You will need:
-1 yard of fold over elastic
-scissor
-measuring tape
-fire torch
These are SO simple and cheap to make but sell for so much around here. I got 1 yard for .29 cents and that makes 4 ties, which will sell for $5.00 or more in a store. I found the best material is the very stretchy elastic  like the purple, green, pink and nude colors. You can test it out and make sure is tight elastic kind like a bra strap, if not will end up having to wrap it around your hair more and it doesn't stay in place very well. Hey for .29 each yard it was a cheap lesson to learn. These make a great quick project and I will end up giving some away probably, or may make more and sell them since people eat them up. You want them to be snug on your wrist but not too tight. I used 9 inches like it said the first few sets then I played with the measurements. The 9 inches will wrap twice around your hair and that's really all you need if you have thick hair use 9 1/2 and that will wrap 3 times. You can use a measurement that suites you but 9 is the starting point they gave and works really well no matter the hair length. You singe the ends to keep them from fraying, hold it close to a flame or wood burner.
Please excuse the video it is our first attempt on our fancy camera and the hubby is not sure how to focus once it starts but you should be able to get the point...epic fail won't upload. Trying it on my phone..here goes round two.
