Wow...got a lot done today. I started the morning with a nice cup of coffee and crafting since the hubby was finishing up the bathroom trim and sealing the grout. The windows were open for some nice fresh air and the 90's station was cranked up when I got to work to finish the letters. I had glued the paper to the wood letters and trimmed the excess paper somewhat last night. I learned a few things about this process and got quicker and better what to trim and cut to make neat corners and bends on the fonts. It takes a good coat of the Mod Podge as well as a firm grip to keep it in place for a minute and some patience. I did put different printed paper on the front and back of only one of the letters. They turned out great though and I want to try plain fabric next time scoping out new sizes and fonts found some nice ones at Michael's Crafts waiting for them to stock the "W". I found that if the ribbon is busy in any way and the letter is a pattern it can detract from the appearance so I am going to makea plain as well. Then it was onto the start of a new project that I am so excited about our new king fabric covered headboard with tufts. Will post a separate blog for that so you can see the progress (it will be a journey if today is an indication) and the link that we are using as a guide.
